Dofus 1.29:Community Portal/Babel
This project name come from various sources ideas but most of them are Wikipedia: related.
There is now 7 parallel Dofus Wikia working on different language.
For now we are the one that started all and the leading one, our pages are having great changes and possible standard ideas for the other wikia, but also those wikia have other ideas that we could implement to improve our overall quality.
How to do it?, I ask how it was possible in the Wikia Forum and the answer was simple it has to be requested first and then it can be implemented. This will create a box in the left column that ways in other language and will be a link to the corresponding article in a marked language, now to obtain that effect there must be a code (
[[es:Main Page]]) added at the bottom of the article page like category but even below that.
Now I want to ask first for our community opinion about this, and if this idea is accepted, is to start to invite other wikia to comment and to see if they want to participate also as this way we will help them with people that will have more commodity if they read the info they are looking in their native language also will help to those community to provide people that may be willing to participate.
Aside from that a template or a project page will be generated to in order to request page translations from one language to another. Making this a rightful Babel project were the language will not care as it will be provide a great flexibility for readers.
Note: One important thing is that this is a long term project as it will take a lot of work and effort from our wikia and the other wikia to be implemented and running properly.
Not a bad idea, I know some players are having difficulties because of the language barrier and if this idea will give in roots it will deffinetly ease the game to them. gabal 14:30, 26 February 2007 (UTC)
- Hi, I`m Garras da Lua, I`m working in a brazilian version (portuguese). This is really a good idea, but I see that is from 2007. There`still some plans for implementing it today?
